Father Eric Woodhead, 60, of Thetford, pleaded guilty to the theft at Ipswich Crown Court on Friday. A spokesman for the Roman Catholic Diocese of East Anglia said: "Father Woodhead was suspended from his role following his guilty plea. "Until the matter is concluded, we will not be commenting further." Woodhead was charged in February with stealing ?91,963 left in a will to Our Lady, Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, in Lowestoft, Suffolk. The theft happened between March and December 2006, police said. Woodhead, who had been the minister of the church, will be sentenced at a later date.
